About Us

Loards Ice Cream was founded in 1950 by Russ Salyards and Keegan Low to make and serve premium ice cream. With their fanatical commitment to quality ingredients, great taste and friendly service, Loards quickly became an award winning, local favorite in communities around the bay area. Community involvement is a key part of our corporate culture. We still make our ice cream by hand and rely on the best ingredients to make great tasting desserts to delight our customers.

LOARDS STORES

Today, there are more than 20 stores serving our ice cream. Several stores still thrive in their original locations 50+ years later. Many stores are community icons, serving multiple generations of Loards loyalists.

NEW COMMUNITIES

Loards enjoys an experienced staff, skilled in making premium ice cream by hand. We work with a few clients focused on providing their own branded, high quality, great tasting ice cream.
